Royal Brown is Austen Brown.  He worked with a few local bands in Dallas before dropping his first album Drop with area hip hop trio Kind Beats, of which he was a third.  He co-produced the album and was a featured vocalist on each of the tracks.  After working with Kind Beats, Brown worked with other area groups, such as The Polyphonic Spree, with whom he was a singer.  The next group that brown sang with was a Psy-Funk outfit out of Oxford, England, called Jaberwok, with whom he toured across England and France playing clubs and festivals.  He fronted that band for six months, until his visa was up and then he returned to the states to produce music privately.  This latest manifestation of his work, Royal Brown is all his own production and his own voice.

Rex Riot is a native to the DC area who got his start in electronic music production in the late 90′s.  Since then his work in sound design, rock and metal recording, and pop/hip hop production has drastically shaped his solo music.  As a result, the music of Rex Riot boasts a unique combination of unconventional (and often bizarre) instrumentation while staying catchy, engaging, and accessible.
